Warzone’s Modern Warfare 4 integration launches November 6, 2026, at 00:00 ET / 06:00 CET (November 5, 21:00 PT). Two new maps and new recovery tools give your squad plenty to learn. Start by choosing where to play and checking that everyone can join. Read the Season 1 briefing.
Teamplay is a place to describe the session you want and find teammates for it. This guide pairs the confirmed changes with practical ideas for your first matches together.
Hajin or Zodiac: choose your first drop
At launch: Hajin Battle Royale and Zodiac Resurgence. Later in the season: Verdansk and Rebirth Island. See the map rollout.
For a squad learning Hajin, start with geography. The official tour describes Imjin Farmland’s exposed fields and long sightlines, while The Grid concentrates skyscrapers and dense streets. A weapon pairing that feels comfortable in one setting may leave you poorly equipped in the other. Explore Hajin’s landmarks.
Pick a landing area together and name your next destination before the first fight. On open ground, identify the cover you are moving toward. In the city, specify the building and floor rather than calling only a direction. Give the last player time to catch up before crossing another street.
The Hajin tour covers DMZ, so use its landmarks rather than its gas, loot or vehicle rules.
In Resurgence, teammates can return after a countdown while someone survives, until redeployments close. Review the mode basics. On Zodiac, make the regrouping point as clear as the fight. A returning player needs somewhere to land, rather than three separate calls for help.
Your new route can bring the enemy in
The Zipline Launcher creates a route enemies can use too. The Grabber Drone has limited battery and can carry supplies, objects and downed teammates. Check the new equipment.
Before sending everyone along a line, check its destination and watch the approach behind you. Decide who goes first and who covers the last person. Reaching the far roof is only half the move: the rest of the squad still needs to arrive without being picked off.
For a drone recovery, agree where the injured player should arrive and who will perform the revive. Choose cover before committing the drone. If the battery is valuable, discuss the rescue before using it on an awkward loot pickup.
Perk-free Tactical Sprint; drag allies during revives. Practise one recovery together before relying on unfamiliar movement in a contested fight.
Choose upgrades for the next fight
Elite Perks add one in-match slot: Athleticism improves mobility, Phantom conceals you from recon and Fieldcraft regenerates armor and equipment. Limited-stock Fly Buy stations offer Weapon Augments. Read the upgrade details.
Choose an upgrade for the fight you intend to take next. If a teammate wants to pursue an optional objective, ask whether the squad can support the detour before splitting up. Decide whether you are preparing to hold a position, cross open ground or take a close fight; then tell each other what your equipment can support.
Try Rally Point’s circle-free Zodiac exploration and repeated redeployments before the evening’s Battle Royale matches.
Check what you can actually equip
- Cronen Osprey: the new assault rifle unlocks at Battle Pass Tier 16.
- CSG-35: the new SMG unlocks at Tier 36.
- Later in the season: the JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon arrive as event rewards.
The Osprey’s sustained recoil rises up and right. The CSG-35 favours close encounters and becomes harder to control at longer distances. Read the weapon overview. Use those descriptions as warm-up questions: can you stay on target at the range where you normally fight, and what will you carry for the other range?
The integration resets Player Level and brings MW4’s weapons into Warzone. Legacy weapons stay usable, but their Gunsmith editing and previous custom loadouts are unsupported. Five-attachment legacy versions unlock through the Armory. The official Carry Forward correction also excludes legacy weapon camos. Check the Carry Forward correction.
Check available builds before promising to bring a familiar setup. The new Operator Skin Toggle changes how other players’ legacy Operators appear on your screen; it does not change their view or your selected Operator. A short loadout check before the session is easier than rebuilding everything while three people wait.
Check everyone’s platform before launch
Warzone stops being playable on PS4 and Xbox One with Season 1. Progression can continue on supported hardware through the same linked Activision account. COD Points and some purchases have platform restrictions, so consult Activision’s platform FAQ before moving accounts.
Warzone also arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 with Season 1. If you are inviting an old squad back, confirm hardware and installation before agreeing on a start time.
One useful plan for your first session
- Choose a mode. Agree on Hajin Battle Royale or Zodiac Resurgence and confirm everyone has the update.
- Name the route. Pick a landing area, a regrouping point and a weapon combination you can equip.
- Try one new tool. Keep the rest of the plan familiar while learning a zipline crossing or recovery.
- Review one moment. After the match, discuss one crossing or revive that separated the squad. Change that part of the plan before queuing again.
Rockets and Snipers and Extreme Resurgence are mid-season additions. The November 2 briefing gives no Ranked return date. Check what is coming later. Treat this as a preparation guide for the announced update; exact balance details belong to the launch patch notes.
Find a Warzone squad with the same goal
A concrete goal for your teammate request: learn Hajin’s Imjin Farmland approach over three Battle Royale matches, with calm voice calls and coordinated recoveries.
Add your platform, language, experience, available time and microphone preference on Teamplay so other players can decide whether the session fits them. Mention that you want to learn the map together, and whether you prefer cautious rotations or a busier first drop.
